Claire’s Yarn Adventures

This webpage is for showcasing some (some are not worth showing, because I mess up a lot haha or just not worth posting) of my favorite knitting projects! While my documentation and detailed posts began around 2018/2019, my passion for knitting has a deeper history.

During my high school days, a friend’s mother introduced me to the world of knitting. Beginning with humble dishcloths and scarves, I’ve ventured into intricate and delightful knitting patterns, embracing the challenge and joy they bring.

Red Knitted Crop Top

Completed: September 2, 2024

Description: A fun knitted crop top. First major project after the Zelda baby blanket. hahaha, I needed to focus on smaller, quicker projects to recover.

Pattern: Magna Floral by Alisa Hartzel

Yarn: Heathers 220 100% Wool

Zelda Baby Blanket

Completed: November 16, 2023

Description: A double-knitted Zelda, baby, blanket for my friends’ baby. They’re huge Zelda fans.

Yarn: Adore from Universal Yarn.

Carrot, Baby Hat

Completed: January 28, 2023

Description: A carrot baby hat with matching mittens, because a friend’s baby was going to be born the year of the rabbit. However, the baby came early and became a tiger baby (two days before the Lunar New Year). Tigers eat carrots though…

Yarn: Unknown, random yarn I found in my stash.

Frost Hat and Cowl

Completed: January 25, 2022

Yarn: Blue Sky Fibers Woolstock Bundle Frost and Cascade Yarn Wool.

Purple Vest

Completed: July 7, 2021

Description: A purple vest, because I struggled to figure out what to do with the ultra pima yarn that I bought from a store that was purging stock. There wasn’t much of it, so vest it was!

Pattern: Salient Vest by Tabetha Hedrick.

Yarn: Ultra Pima from Cascade Yarns.

White, Slouchy Hat

Completed: March 12, 2021
